Welcome to St. Patrick’s Primary School Derrynaseer
Our school is situated at the heart of St. Patrick’s Parish in the village of Aghagallon. It is a Catholic Maintained School. There has been a school here in Aghagallon since 1865. The current school was completed around 1966.
Our mission is to help each individual reach their own potential in a secure and happy environment.
To achieve this, close communication between parents, the first educators of their children, and the school is vital. We therefore work very closely with our parents on an individual basis and collectively to seek their views and act upon them in the effective management of the school. Pastoral care is the foundation upon which we as a school operate.
Our motto is “Growing and Learning Together”. In St. Patrick’s we deliver the Northern Ireland Curriculum and endeavour to tailor this to the individual needs of our children. We also enhance the curriculum with a wide range of extra curricular activities, which includes an after school club, Gaelic football, choir, cycling proficiency, monkeynastics, netball, tennis and camogie.
Parents of prospective pupils are welcome to our open night in November or to contact the school to organise a visit to view the facilities and meet the staff.
